It's haiku but not as you know it. As featured in Catalyst 3 - Porno Ku has been rounded up and committed to its own little cell in the form of a handy wee pocket book. Neoismist Press who publish Catalyst decided the work of Dickey Woodside, Sheila Shorthand and Jock Helldonger deserved to be locked up "not only for amusement." It's been given the treatment, complete with illustrations by Elizabeth Davidson and is, in the words of Sheila Shorthand, "a little hard something for your pocket."
The book is being launched as part of Christchurch's Four Square Festival at Creation arts space with music from Le Mot Cafe, visuals from The Neoismists show Fears & Fetishes and a glass of wine or three.
It is not known whether the authors who are US based will be in attendance at the launch. Neoismist Press say the book is likely to retail for $10 a copy. Advance orders can be sent to Neoismist Press, P.O. Box 3083 Christchurch, New Zealand.
